Through CMEPP, our Participant hospitals enjoy a variety of equipment management services. On behalf of our Participants, CMEPP issues purchase orders to service providers and negotiates services. In conjunction with our program we provide direct vendor payments, further reducing the administrative expense to the hospital. Additionally we provide:

Claims Management
Our staff reviews each Preventive and Remedial service incident reported by our Participants. We maintain records of all claims in our all-Canadian database. On behalf of our Participants we issue payments directly to vendors for all invoices presented to the program.

CMEPP Participants receive detailed reports, consistent in format for all equipment services provided. Customized reports are also available with cost breakdown information available by departments and hospital cost centres.

On behalf of our Participants, CMEPP resolves any service or invoice-related questions directly with the service provider.


Financial Stability
CMEPP has developed a long-term stabilization fund that has been 100% funded from surplus amounts generated through the CMEPP Program. The full assets of the stabilization fund are owned by the Participants on a pro-rata basis with all investment income, returned on an annual basis.

Our stabilization fund is designed to support the program in the event of a series of major costs that exceed the contributions of the Participants in any given year. Our Board of Directors reviews the fund annually to ensure that adequate funds are retained on deposit.
