Richard Bedard, MBA, MLT, CHE

Richard has worked in healthcare for more than 30 years and has experience in administration, leadership, clinical care, and professional practice. He brings with him practical experience in acute care, long term care and primary care. Richard recently retired as President and CEO at Deep River and District Hospital, Four Seasons Lodge and North Renfrew Family Health Team.

A strategic thinker, he has been and continues to be actively involved in provincial and professional groups fostering improvements, collaboration, and strong partnerships. Committed to quality, safety and to person centered care, Richard surveys both nationally and internationally, and also provides consultation to organizations looking to improve their performance.

He completed his term as a member of the Ontario Laboratory Accreditation Advisory Panel and has been an assessor with the Institute for Quality Management in Healthcare. As a catalyst for positive change, Richard has built a career engaging stakeholders from governance to bedside to generate ideas and facilitate outcomes that improve healthcare for patients, residents and their families.
