Nils Clausen appointed as CMEPP's inaugural CEO

Nils Clausen named CEO of CMEPP

It’s with pleasure and pride that I announce, on behalf of the CMEPP Board, the appointment of Nils Clausen as CMEPP’s inaugural CEO.

Nils joined CMEPP in 2016 as the General Manager and in that time has overseen remarkable growth in the organization. CMEPP has expanded its Participant base in Ontario and Manitoba and established a national footprint with hospitals and healthcare organizations in British Columbia. Revenue has grown between 60-70% and CMEPP continues to strive to deliver value for Participants.

Working within an industry that has been severely tested during the past few years, Nils recognizes that CMEPP has a crucial role to play in focussing on technology and innovation to help Participants maximize resources and manage their current and long-term challenges.

Before joining CMEPP, Nils spent 14 years at GHX, a global organization focussed on building a resilient healthcare supply chain. After serving as General Manager for Canada, he was promoted to Associate Vice President, Supplier Sales for North America.

In his tenure as GM at CMEPP, Nils has grown with the organization. Growing the capability and capacity of the team has enabled Nils to be less involved in day-to-day operational responsibilities, and prioritize more focus toward strategy, enterprise risk management, and business development.

In accepting the position, Nils said, “It’s an honour and a privilege to be entrusted with the responsibility of leading this exceptional organization into a new era of growth and success as your new CEO. I am truly humbled by the opportunity to contribute my expertise, vision, and leadership skills to further advance CMEPP’s position as an innovative leader.”

These are exciting days for CMEPP and we’re encouraged that with Nils as CEO, we’ll continue to deliver high-calibre services and solutions to Participants, nationally. I’ve worked closely with Nils for many years and am heartened that he’s supported by the CMEPP team. Our team has never been stronger, and I look forward to working together to drive the organization forward.
